In 2012 British photographer Mark Power embarked on a long-term photographic survey of America, a country that has fascinated him since childhood. This ongoing body of images which will eventually comprise the five volume book project Good Morning, America are vast and complex, capturing a moment of American time and space. “I’m seeing America through the filter of an imposing cultural legacy that helped define me. As such, it’s a strange mix of the familiar and unfamiliar, of fact and of fiction,” Power says.
