The Man I Left Behind is a three vinyl LP collection of 33 original ballads by Larry Towell about both photography and the places he’s photographed. The collection of ballads includes songs from El Salvador, Afghanistan, Rwanda, Palestine amongst more; the anthology contains field recordings from: Afghanistan, Gaza Strip, East Jerusalem, Pine Ridge Sioux Indian Reservation, South Dakota, Standing Rock protest camp, North Dakota, Cowboy festival, Wyoming, Animal stock yards, railroads, Mennonite colonies, Bolivia, Guguluthu Township, South Africa, his own backyard, Ontario.

Towell is accompanied by musicians and friends that include Jeff Bird of the Cowboy Junkies; Mike Stevens, who was a regular contributor to the Grand Ole Opry; Anne Lindsay who tours with Blue Rodeo and Jim Cuddy; Gwen Swick of Quartette, and many others. The tracks are available to download.Acce
