Description

Elliott Erwitt: A Retrospective pays tribute to one of the most important photographers of the 20th century through a collection of 215 black and white and color photographs.

An American photographer of European origin, Elliott Erwitt is at once a painter of the intimate, a photojournalist, an advertising photographer, a film director, and a portraitist of personalities such as Marilyn Monroe, Jackie Kennedy, Charles de Gaulle, Ernesto “Che” Guevara, Alfred Hitchcock, Nikita Khrushchev and many more.

This retrospective reflects the diversity of subjects addressed throughout the photographer’s career and the profound unity of Erwitt’s work, illustrating his ability to immortalise moments of everyday life through a distinct style of humour and emotion.
