Jim Goldberg’s piece Proof is included in the series Open See. The work is a collection of over 630 images cut from the project’s contact sheets. Open See tells the story of refugees, immigrants, and trafficked individuals journeying from their countries of origin to their new homes in Europe.

This contact sheet is an abbreviated selection from Proof. Jim considers it an assembled “family album” of his photographic encounters during the 9 years of this project and evidence of the existence of people who would otherwise be forgotten.
